A Bit More About That Dinner Award

When the AA inspector stayed with us on 22 September, he ate with us too, and the kitchen came away with an AA Dinner Award 2026.

He had the Korean chicken tenders, the whole roasted flatfish with lemon and caper butter, and lemon posset with raspberry compote.

On the fish:

“A good example of the ethos here, hence keeping things simple and allowing the produce to shine. Fish of good quality and accurately cooked.”

And on the whole thing:

“Simple dishes prepared with care and underpinned by good quality, locally sourced produce — a Dinner Award well deserved.”

Simple food, good Cornish ingredients, cooked properly. That’s all we’ve ever been trying to do. It’s nice to have someone from outside come and check.
